Kyra Minturn

 Kyra Minturn, born on August 19, 1965, is an American actress. She is also a producer and director. Her most well-known work is her role as Deputy Chief Brenda Leigh Johnson (TVN crime drama The Closer). Sedgwick was awarded the Golden Globe Award and an Emmy Award for her portrayal as Johnson in 2007. The show ended on the 13, 2012, following the conclusion of its seventh season. Sedgwick is also well-known for her recurring role on Brooklyn Nine-Nine as Madeline Wuntch. Sedgwick received a Golden Globe nomination for her performance as Madeline Wuntch in Something to Talk About (1995). Sedgwick's other film roles include Oliver Stone's Born on the Fourth of July (1989), Cameron Crowe's Singles (1992), Heart and Souls (1993), Phenomenon (1996), What's Cooking (2000), Secondhand Lions (2003), The Game Plan (2007) and The Possession (2012). Sedgwick is the daughter Patricia Rosenwald, an educator therapy for families, a venture capitalist and Henry Dwight Sedgwick VII, a speech therapist. Her mother was Jewish. Her dad was Episcopalian and of English descent. Sedgwick has declared publicly her Jewish heritage and said that she is a part of Passover seders.
